Snoqualmie Valley Track Club announces schedule

Events open to all comers
   The Snoqualmie Valley Track Club has announced the spring all-comers track meet schedules.
   All competitions are Sunday afternoons from 2-4:30 p.m. and open to anyone who wants to compete.
   The schedule is:
   April 21, Mt. Si High School
   April 28, Chief Kanim Middle School
   May 5, Mt. Si High School
   May 19, Chief Kanim Middle School
   June 2, Mt. Si High School
   Field events begin at 2 p.m. and end at 3 p.m.
   Events include turbo javelin, 6 lb. shot put, standing long jump, softball throw and running long jump. Age groups range from 3 and under to 12 and over.
   Running events begin at 3 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Events include 1,600-meter, family 400-meter walk or jog, 25-meter dash, 50-meter dash, 400-meter, 100-meter dash, 800-meter and 200-meter.
   Age groups range from 3 to 11 and over. No spiked or cleated shoes may be used in competition.
   Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in jumping and throwing events. Family unit participants will receive a certificate. All who come in the 25 or 50-meter dash who do not place will receive a participant ribbon.
   The HUB Snoqualmie Track Club is managed by a team of Snoqualmie Valley volunteers who receive financial support from individuals, organizations, foundations and firms who share an interest in providing youth of the Snoqualmie Valley the opportunity to run, throw and jump.
