Volunteers help YMCA build strong youth, families, communities

On behalf of the Northshore YMCA, I would like to thank each of the more than 170 volunteers who campaigned tirelessly on behalf of youth and families during our 2002 Partners With Youth Campaign.
This annual fund-raising drive raises money that allows kids from lower income homes to participate in YMCA activities including summer day camp, child care, summer enrichment classes, swimming lessons, youth sports, teen and family programs.
In February and March, this group of dedicated volunteers raised more than $183,000 that will positively impact Northshore youth in YMCA programs.
While every one of our campaigners did a terrific job, I would like to particularly thank the campaign leadership team. Comprised of volunteers from the Northshore area, these dedicated community leaders provided outstanding leadership to this year's successful campaign: Chair - Stephen Anderson, Kenmore; Chair's Round Table Chair - Rick Grimes, Bothell; Community Chair - Jan Runkel, Bothell.
To all those who volunteered their time and energy to making this campaign a success; to all the Y staff who worked tirelessly on the campaign; and to every person and organization who pledged their support to the campaign - thank you. Together, your efforts will help the YMCA build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
