Obituary: Gary R. Lindell

Gary R. Lindell of Woodinville died March 13, 2002, due to complications of an on-duty head injury suffered in May 1999.  He was 55 years old.
Gary was a Seattle Police Officer for 35 years.  Gary loved his job.  He started at the age of 18 as a cadet, then on to patrol, auto theft for 25 years, back to patrol by choice, so he could eventually become a mounted officer.
His dream was completed and he went to Mounted in 1996.
We thank God for lending Gary to us even if his time on earth was too brief.  He was liked by many, but loved by more.
Gary is survived by his wife, Margaret, of 37 years; his three children of whom he was very proud: Steve(Susanne) Lindell of Vancouver, Wash., Susan Davidson of Portland, and Karen Lindell of Tacoma. He had two precious granddaughters: Erika and Dana Lindell.
He was also loved by numerous other family members and friends.
Services were held March 20, 2002, at Calvery Temple in Seattle.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center at 19802 N.E. 148th Street. Woodinville, WA 98072.
