May computer classes at Woodinville Library
the World Wide Web
This is a hands-on class for people who are beginners on the World Wide Web (WWW). Learn about a browser, type web addresses and get web pages, click links, and navigate pages and sites. Saturday, May 18, 10-11:30 a.m.
Search the World
Wide Web (Advanced)
Not for beginners. Prerequisite: Intro to the WWW class or previous experience searching the web.
Learn the types of search tools and how to choose an appropriate one for a particular type of search. Learn to write a search query to produce useful results. Wednesday May 29, 7- 8:30 p.m.
Introduction to Microsoft Excel:
lecture & hands on
This class starts with an Excel lecture in the meeting room and finishes with hands-on experience using Excel on the library's computers. This is an introduction to Excel and is intended for people with no spreadsheet experience. Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
This is a hands-on class for beginning users of Microsoft Word. Learn how to create a document, change the layout of documents, use menus and toolbars, save your document and print. Tuesday, May 21, 6:30-8 p.m.
These computer classes are free. Register in advance for these classes by phoning the Woodinville Library at (425) 788-0733. Class sizes are very small with waiting lists, so please call to cancel a registration if necessary.
