Local farm offers spring tours for school groups

FARM LLC is offering educational spring farm field trips for school groups at the Living Legacy Ranch and the Root Connection Farm near Woodinville.
The field trips give students from preschool through fifth grade a hands-on look at farms.
Students will enjoy coming face-to-face with baby plants and animals as they explore new life on the farm. They'll learn how seeds grow, meet chicks and lambs and plant a seed to take home. Plus, each class receives a cherry tomato plant to grow in the classroom.
Field trips will be held Mondays through Fridays, mornings and afternoons, from May 13-31 (no field trips on Memorial Day). Cost is $5 per child, $75 minimum per group. Teachers and chaperones are free.Tours are limited to 25 students each. Reservations are required. Call Nancy at (425) 788-2259.
The Living Legacy Ranch is at 13651 Woodinville-Redmond Road. See the website, www.farmllc.com, for more information.
