New school-based mentoring program

Big Brothers Big Sisters of King and Pierce Counties has announced a new school-based mentoring program at Frank Love, Fernwood and Crystal Springs elementary schools and Canyon Park Junior High.
The program matches a caring adult mentor with a young person. The matches meet once a week and are involved with a variety of activities.
Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers receive orientation, training and match support. Local businesses, faith based and civic groups are encouraged to consider group involvement . Some groups may consider adopting a school. Individuals are also encouraged to apply.
To become a mentor in this program, call Terry Schuler at (425) 415-0494, ext. 319 or at terrys@bigsandlittles.org.
