Lions Club hosts Mother's Day Breakfast

*Woodinville Lions Club's will hold their annual Mother's Day breakfast Sunday, May 12, at their hall, 19008 168th Ave. N.E. 2 blocks north of Mack's Corner on the Woodinville-Duvall Road. Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  

Drop-off ballot sites for Special Election

* In a Special Election to be held May 21, Bothell voters are being asked to decide on a $14.9 million bond to build a Civic Center Facility that would house all city services with the exception of police and court.
  

Brightwater Task Force meeting #2

* The second meeting of the King County Brightwater Project Route 9 Community Task Force will be held from 7-9 p.m. on May 14 at the Wellington Elementary School library

Special cleanup day

* The Spring Special Recycling Collection Event called Cleanup Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at Mt. Si High School front parking lot.
  

Homeless women's shelter seeks support on Mother's Day

* According to Autumn 2001 One Night Count estimates, 7,350 individuals are without a home every night in King County. Of those, there are approximately 800 couples with children, 1,400 single women with children and 700 single women.
