'Once Upon a Mattress'

Family comedy opens at Inglemoor High

The Inglemoor High School Drama Department will present "Once Upon A Mattress," a musical comedy, May 22-26, at the IHS theater, 15500 Simonds Road NE in Kenmore.
Evening performances are held at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday with afternoon matinees at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
"Once Upon a Mattress" is a fractured fairy tale about a prince who could not find a bride who would meet the approval of his mother, the Queen Aggravain, who devises a royal test for a would-be-princess. Under 20 soft, downy mattresses, the Queen will place a tiny pea, and if the princess candidate sleeps soundly, she fails the test.
These antics place the entire kingdom in an uproar, as the twists and turns of fate resolve themselves in this hilarious family comedy.
Tickets are $8 and are available at the Inglemoor High School Little Theater 45 minutes before each performance or from the IHS student store at lunch time.
