Northshore gymnasts win first place

*Area gymnasts competed with teams from all over the state in the Washington State Boys Gymnastics Meet held March 23-24 at the University of Washington.

Leota student is champ

*Rudy Ruiz, a 14-year-old Leota Junior High School 8th grader, brought home the gold medal from Ahnyang City, Korea, the site of the 2002 Kyonggi International Open Taekwondo Championships.

*WIAA/Dairy farmers of Washington have announced Cedarcrest as the 2001-02 academic state champions in girls' track and field.
