Northshore gymnasts win first place

Area gymnasts competed with teams from all over the state in the Washington State Boys Gymnastics Meet held March 23-24 at the University of Washington.
   The Class 6 team brought home the first-place trophy.
   Earning top individual all-around scores for the 7 to 9 age group were Zachary Chase (1st), Matthew Rieke (2nd), Drew Carlson Rothe (3rd) and Taylor Carruthers (4th).
   Also placing were Taegen Kitchens (8th), Travis Claughton (13th), Jared Boisseranc (21st) and Benjamin Brudnicki (21st).
   Max Klassen placed 7th in the 10 and older age group. All Northshore Boys Gymnastics Club Class 6 gymnasts qualified for the USAG Men's Region II Gymnastics meet which was held in Boise, Idaho, April 5 and 6 where they competed against class 6 gymnasts from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
   At that meet Zachary Chase placed 2nd and Drew Carlson Rothe placed 7th in the all-around competition.
   Erik Haverty, of the Northshore Gymnastics Center in Woodinville, coaches the Northshore Boys Gymnastics Team.
