Shelves stocked at food bank thanks to letter carriers' food drive

*The U.S. Postal Service letter carriers' food drive held May 11 netted some 13,370 pounds of food for the Maltby Food Bank.

Anita Durrett sentenced in death of daughter

*Anita Durrett, 42, of North Bend, charged with vehicular homicide in the death of her 9-year-old daughter, was sentenced to 21 months in jail.

Monroe woman killed in traffic accident

*Patricia C. Kimes, 51, of Monroe, was killed last Wednesday afternoon in an accident on SR 203 north of Duvall.
