WHS Unsung Heroes honored

Forty-seven Woodinville High School students and 10 staff members were honored May 9 as the school's first Unsung Heroes.
The Unsung Hero Program was started to recognize some of the "quiet achievers" who give unconditionally of their time and talent to their school, community or home. They were honored for their selfless commitment and dedication to volunteerism. At the ceremony, City Councilmember Dan Brocha read a proclamation from Woodinville Mayor Scott Hageman and gave a brief talk on the benefits of community service.
John Curley, host of "Evening Magazine," also gave a brief talk. Each nominee received a certificate.
