Sammamish Watershed Festival
The eighth annual Sammamish Watershed Festival took place in Blyth Park, Bothell, on May 15-17. The festival teaches fourth-grade students from local schools about the importance of protecting our watersheds and water resources.
Students take part in fun, hands-on activities where they learn about water conservation, salmon recovery, water pollution prevention, water utility operations, recycling, native plants and more.
Approximately 800 students, teachers and parents attended the event.
The festival is produced by Northshore Utility District with support from Northshore School District, the City of Bothell, Woodinville Water District, the City of Redmond, Seattle Public Utilities, Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District, Puget Sound Energy, King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Triangle Associates, Inc., and the Audubon Society.
