Crossfire takes Snohomish United Tournament with 3-0 win

The GU11 Crossfire Premier Club won their first tournament of the early soccer season by soundly defeating the NWN Nemesis squad 3-0 in the championship game of the May 3-5, 2002 Snohomish United Tournament. They got to the finals by defeating West Van Selects 3-1 in the semi-final game.
   In earlier games, they posted victories over the Badgers 5-0, FC Alliance Hotshots 4-0 and Snohomish United White 5-0.
   The newly formed team is coached by Dick McCormick, assisted by Cash Elston and Joe Morris.
   The LWYSA team hails from Bothell, Duvall, Redmond, Sammamish and Woodinville. Members of the 16 member squad include: Coral Anderson, Allie Beahan, Jenny Bruner, Missy Dowd, Jane Dwyer, Lindsay Elston, Ashton Griffen, Emily Hurd, Nicole Lee, Maya Marder, Chelsea Orr, Courtney Pixler, Sarah Quigley, Tamsyn Solomon and Kajsa Sporseen.
   The team will participate in the Rainier Cup Memorial Day weekend and other regional tournaments over the course of the summer.
