Langkows celebrate 50 years
John and Betty Langkow will join their children and grandchildren on a dinner cruise in July to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married July 2, 1952, at Bothell First Lutheran Church. They met while they were students at Bothell High School. Their class will hold its 50th reunion this summer.
John and Betty lived in Bremerton during their first three years of marriage while John worked at the Naval Shipyard and attended Olympic College where he received an AA degree in engineering. They returned to Woodinville when John began his 30-year career with Pacific Northwest Bell which included a three year assignment with ATT in New York. While working at Pacific Northwest Bell, he attended the University of Washington and received an MBA. Betty concentrated on raising their five children, and she and John now enjoy spending time with their 10 grandchildren.
Their children include Kathy and Norm Englund, Karen and Rich Gregg, Kellie and Jay Evered, Kurt and Andrea Langkow, of Bothell, and Kris and John Langkow of Clearview.
