Local track team returns from state meet with medals

The Woodinville Parks and Recreation Special Olympic track team returned from the Washington State Games held May 31-June 2 at Fort Lewis following a weekend of spirited competition.
   Awarded medals and representing each member of the team were:
   Joel Aadland-Lewis Bronze in the 50m dash
   Molly Borchers Gold in the standing long jump, Bronze in the 200m dash, Bronze in the 4x100m relay
   Nikolas Mantalvanos Gold in the softball throw
   David Nystrom Gold in the shotput, Gold in the 100m dash, Bronze in the 4x100m relay
   Matthew Totonelly Bronze in the 4x100m relay
   Jason "JJ" Young: Gold in the softball throw
   This season's team gives special thanks to the team volunteers: Louis Mendoza, Mark Landau, Lori Dey, Anne Coon, Andrew Allen, Jeanne Sexton, Chris Rogers, Scott Sundvig, Kelsey Crowter, Elizabeth Caser and David Couvrette, as well as the parents, family and friends that supported this year's team.
