Northshore Kiwanis collecting for Eastside Baby Corner
Northshore Kiwanis will be at the Kenmore Safeway store on June 29 and 30 to collect items for Eastside Baby Corner (EBC).
EBC provides a vital service to parents in our community and Kiwanis has been a consistent supporter of its program. EBC, founded in 1990, collects all items that children use from birth to age 12 and distributes them free of charge to families in need. Over one hundren providers on the Eastside order items from EBC for families in need.
Needed items include clothing, blankets, diapers, shoes, pacifiers, baby bottles and any other items a family with children from newborn to age 12 would find useful.
Larger items include cribs, car seats, high chairs, rockers, bassinets and furniture.
New toys are always welcomed with a reminder that used toys should be in good shape, and for those requiring batteries, please include some.
Cash donations are always welcome. Each month, EBC spends $2,200 on diapers, $1,000 on formula, $2,000 on layettes, and $1,500 on cribs. Your donations will contribute to these vital items which are purchased to meet the needs.
