Northshore college graduates
Christopher Murray (WHS Class of 1998) recently graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and political science. While at the UW, Chris was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, named to the Dean's List 1998-2001, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also served as the Washington State Chairman of the College Republicans during 2001-2002, was a two-term student senator and a staff columnist for the U.W. Daily. He was also on the paper's editorial board in 2002.
In addition he is a certified ski instructor and has been a lector at St. Jude's Parish in Redmond since 1999.
Following an eight-week internship in Washington, D.C., Murray will attend law school at Harvard University. He is the son of Renate and Owen Murray of Woodinville.
Thomas Hergert received a bachelor degree in business administration from Gonzaga University in Spokane.
Melissa S. Almquist of Woodinville graduated from Lewis & Clark College in May with a bachelor of arts degree in international affairs and Hispanic studies.
