Tolt's 5th grade Transition Night a success

Tolt Middle School's annual 5th grade Transition Night, held on June 6, was a huge success. Over 200 Riverview 5th graders attended this fun and informative event from 4:15 to 8:15 p.m. and learned a lot of new things about their future school.
Students had the opportunity to go on a comprehensive tour, visiting six stations led by Tolt 6th grade teachers. The stations were: art, math/technology, Tolt Points of Pride, 6th Grade Information, science and PE. At 6:45 p.m., students met their families on the front lawn and went to dinner.
Dinner was provided free of charge, thanks to generous contributions from the Sno-Valley Communtity Network, Cherry Valley PTSA, Stillwater PTSA, Carnation PTSA, Eagle Rock PTSA and Tolt PTSA. In all, Tolt's awesome kitchen staff served dinner to 730 people.
After dinner, students and their families had the opportunity to attend the Tolt Showcase and Open House in the gym and meet all of Tolt's 6th grade teachers, administrators, counselors and specialists, as well as talk to Tolt PTSA members, and learn about the Sno-Valley Community Network's local resources, intended to help keep kids healthy, safe and drug-free.
