'A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine'

The SecondStory Repertory, the Eastside's professional theatre ensemble, presents the Broadway musical hit "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine" by Dick Vosburgh and Frank Lazarus. The show runs from July 12 - Aug. 17 at Redmond Town Center.
A Broadway hit in 1980, where it was directed by Tommy Tune, "Hollywood/Ukraine" is really two musicals in one: Act 1 is a wink at the glorious history of the Silver Screen; Act II imagines a Marx Brothers movie as Anton Chekhov might have written it with a romping re-creation of Groucho, Harpo and Chico's greatest gags.
Opening night for "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine" is Friday, July 12 at 8:15 p.m. The night before is the "Pay What You Can" Thursday preview.
Other performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:15 p.m., with one Sunday matinee on July 28 at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $22 general admission, and $18 for students, seniors and educators, with I.D.
The SecondStory Repertory is located upstairs next to Borders Books in Redmond Town Center. To charge tickets, call the box office at (425) 881-6777.
