Exercising with asthma and allergies
Asthma and allergies can make it difficult to trek in the wilderness, stroll in the park, or even work out in the gym. Join Dr. Teal Hallstrand, acting instructor in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, for a discussion of the latest techniques for diagnosing, treating and managing asthma and allergies.
"Exercising with Allergies and Asthma" will be presented at 7 p.m., Monday, July 15, at REI-Downtown, at 222 Yale Ave. N. Admission is free.
You'll learn how you can be wheeze-free and sneeze-free at home, on the trail and on the treadmill.
"The Healthy-U" fitness and health talks at REI are sponsored by UW Physicians. No registration is necessary. For more information, call UW Health Sciences and Medical Affairs News and Community Relations at (206) 543-3620.
