Woodstack organizers cash in their chips

Business owners Alana McCoy and Joan Ramsey, who have been organizing the annual fall Woodstack festival for 10 years, say this is their last year and if no one wants to volunteer to replace them, this is the last year for Woodstack as well.

Carnation student wins first place in state Reflections contest

Brandon Asheim, a student at Carnation Elementary, won a first-place award in the Washington state PTSA Reflections contest and an Award of Merit nationally for his photograph entry. The Award of Merit was for Intermediate Photography from the National PTA organization.
