Parade of Ponds highlights area watergardens July 27-28

The third annual Parade of Ponds, the largest tour of its kind in the Northwest, will be held July 27-28. Forty-six Puget Sound-area watergardens will be on display. The gardens range from charming backyard ponds to elaborate displays incorporating waterfalls, streams and other dramatic elements. The Parade of Ponds will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. both days. All proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital uncompensated care fund.
Woodinville residents Don and Ruth Jones, Bill Finch, Greg and Kathy Banken, and Duvall residents Tom and Leola Hansen will open their private gardens for the tour. These gardens range from waterfalls emerging from peaceful wooded areas to a pond stocked with rainbow trout.
Tickets for the Parade of Ponds are $15 and can be purchased at Russell Watergardens, Bellevue Nursery and other select nurseries. Tickets are good for admittance both days to all watergardens included on the tour. A brochure with pond descriptions and addresses on the tour will also be distributed. If you have questions or need more information, call (206) 789-5668.
