Ramblin' Rec for kids

Children in grades K-6 are invited to enjoy arts, crafts and games at Ramblin' Rec, a drop-in program for neighborhood youth sponsored by Bothell Parks and Recreation.
   The program will culminate with an End-Of-Summer Big Event. Since this is a drop-in program, youth are allowed to come and go anytime during the program. This activity is free with no preregistration.
   Ramblin' Rec locations:
   Stipek Park, Woodin Elementary M&W, 9:30-11:45 a.m.
   Frank Love Elementary, Conifer View Park, M&W, 1-3:15 p.m.
   Shelton View Elementary, Brickyard Road Park, T&Th, 9:30-11:45 a.m.
   Bothell First Baptist Church (lower playfield), Canyon Creek Elementary, T&Th, 1-3:15 p.m.

   Electricity Camp 2002 (Students entering grades 4, 5, & 6)
   Using a few simple pieces of equipment, this hands-on program teaches children how to make things to help them better understand the worlds of circuits and motors. Tuesday, build a security system for a box that will hold your treasures. Wednesday, create a device while learning about electromagnets. Thursday, make your own motorized boat as you explore the world of motors and electricty.
   Location: Canyon Creek Elementary Library. Pre-registration is required.

   Teen Concert
   Enjoy local teen bands on a summer's evening at the Park at Bothell Landing Amphitheater. Saturday, Aug. 10, from 6-8 p.m. This event is free.
