Shakespeare production in McCormick Park

Last Leaf Productions, Monroe's resident Shakespeare company, transforms McCormick Park into the Forest of Arden on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m., with a free performance of "As You Like It."
Containing all the ingredients of a classic Shakespearean comedy, this play leads the audience through a maze of sibling rivalries, usurped thrones, alter egos, and comic romantic pairings. Indeed, in this play, "all the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
In response to popular demand, the second annual picnic basket contest will be held at this performance. Bring your favorite portable meal and the official tasters will select first, second and third place winners. Prizes include tickets to the Duvall Arts Commission's Arts Onstage mainstage season.
Belmark's Arts Onstage in the Park is presented by the Duvall Arts Commission, the King County Arts Commission, and local business sponsors.
For more information about these concerts and for directions to McCormick Park, visit www. cityofduvall.com/dac.
