Open house to discuss reclaimed water facility
The public is invited to a third community open house on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to learn more about King County's plans to site and design a reclaimed water facility in the Sammamish Valley.
Reclaimed water is highly treated wastewater that is safe for irrigation and industrial uses.
Once reclaimed water is available along the Sammamish River, several water users will switch to reclaimed water for irrigation and stop drawing water from the river or groundwater.
This will leave more water in the river for the salmon that migrate up the Sammamish River to spawn each fall.
This is the third community open house on this project and it will be held in Room #2 of the Redmond Regional Library at 15990 NE 85th Street in Redmond.
The evening will begin with informationational stations followed by a presentation at 6:45 and questions.
For more information on the open house, call (206) 296-8361 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or dnr.metrokc.gov/WTD/reuse.
