NSD selects athletic training services provider

The Northshore School District (NSD) board of directors has selected Northlake Rehabilitation to provide athletic training services for the Northshore School District for the 2002-2003 school year. Northlake Rehabilitation's therapist-owned clinics include Woodinville Sports Therapy and Bothell Sports Therapy (opening at Bothell Landing, August 2002). Northlake therapists provide orthopedic physical therapy and sports injury rehabilitation.
As part of its contract, Northlake will provide athletic training services to the three district high schools: Bothell, Inglemoor and Woodinville, as well as the six feeder junior highs for the three regions: Canyon Park, Skyview, Kenmore, Northshore, Leota and Timbercrest. Northlake will provide each school region with an athletic trainer to support its respective training needs.
Northlake will provide the nine schools with more than 2,500 hours of athletic training services.
Specific services will include training room, team practice and event coverage; injury screenings and treatment or referral; development of a student athletic training program; injury prevention clinics and workshops for coaches; clinics and workshops for student trainers; and coordination of sport physicals.
"We have a long tradition of working to provide a safe, quality environment for school athletes. Our clinic has worked closely with Woodinville High School in the past and we look forward to now supporting all the schools in the district," said Woodinville Sports Therapy clinic manager Steve Tollefson, MSPT, ATC.
