Art in the Park

Sky Valley Artists Guild's 14th annual Art In The Park, an outdoor art festival, will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Travelers Park on the corner of Hwy. 2 and East Main Street in Monroe. Featured will be 40+ boothswith arts and crafts and food.
   Nellie Robertson will have her new book about Monroe available and the Centennial Cook Book will also be there. Artists will be on hand to demonstrate their work.The entertainment schedule (begins both days at 11 a.m.) features the Evergreen Community Choir, Smoke Creek, Peter Blake, Jake Thompson, the Off The Wall Theatre, Kate and the Little Pards, Kate Long, balladeer Rob Folsom, Bill Chism and Jake Thompson.
