Police searching for missing woman

Monroe Police are seeking assistance in the case of a missing 33-year-old woman, Christina L. Zier.
Zier, 5 feet, 4 inches, 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, has not been seen or heard from since July 20. Since that time, she has missed a doctor's appointment and scheduled visits with her children. Missing appointments and not visiting her children are unusual for her.
Relatives went to her Monroe apartment on Currie Road Aug. 4 to check up on her and found that her pets had not been fed for at least a week. Nor had her voice mail been checked. Nothing in the house seemed out of place or unusual. Her medications, which she needs to take on a daily basis, were found in the apartment.
Zier's car, a red 1991 Daihatsu Charade (Washington plates 868-NOG), is also missing.
Operations Commander for the Monroe Police Department Rick Dunn said, "Friends and family have been interviewed. An exhaustive search hasn't turned up anyone (who has information about Zier's whereabouts). We're just trying to be cautious. We're hoping media coverage will help shed some light on the case."
Persons who may have had contact with Christina Zier are asked to contact Detective Tim Buzzell at (360) 794-6300 or (360) 863-4584.
