Junior golfer at tourney

*Jarrett Foote, a 10-year-old 5th grader at Hollywood Hill Elementary School, played in the Washington Junior Golf State Championship held at Manito Golf & Country Club in Spokane July 24-26.

State and World Series champs

*Fourteen-year-old Timbercrest Junior High students Curtis Dupart and Philip Hackney are members of the Washington State Cannons, a select Sandy Koufax baseball team, that went undefeated again this year to win first place at the state tournament recently. Their record for the season was 27-1.

WHS students in national regatta

*Todd Mickelson and Chase Stoudt, juniors at Woodinville High School, were among eight members of the Sammamish Rowing Association in Redmond to compete at the U.S. Rowing National Championship Regatta in Camden City, N.J., at the end of July.

Hurricane 18-A fastpitch team on their way to national tourney

*The Washington Hurricane 16-A Fastpitch Team is heading to Sioux Falls S.D., to compete in their 5th National Tournament.
