Cedarcrest Drill Team earns Superior Rating at camp

   The Cedarcrest Drill Team is off to a great start to the new season. The new team was selected in May, with 30 girls successfully making it through the tryouts.
   The team headed to the University of Puget Sound for their summer camp July 12-15. While at camp the team won first place with their Home Routine, earning a Superior Rating.
   Individual "All Star Awards" were earned by Jessica Pemble, Tiffany Mellor and Celia Olsen.
   The All Stars won the opportunity to perform in Paris, France. All the teams at the camp voted Cedarcrest Drill Team as "The team they would most like to be a part of," earning the team the Leadership Award.
   The team also brought home the Spirit Award for displaying outstanding spirit and conduct while at camp. The UDA Camp proved to be a great start to a new season.
   The 2002-2003 Cedarcrest Drill Team consists of Captain Jessica Pemble, Co-Captains Jeany Hong, Katie Kearns and Tiffany Mellor.
   Returning members are Ali Jackson, Rachel Scott, Kirby Thompson, Celia Olsen, Kylie Fassler, Lizzy Casey and Jessica Hornsby.
   New members include Michelle Skinner, Aleta Judson, Natalie Jenkins, Sydney Ware, Taira Anderson, Michela Berg, Melissa Johnson, Kateen Solberg, Tabitha Gray, Taylor Rush, Monica Williams, Katie Wilbur, Krista Kilpatrick, Michelle Scott, Erin Gorman, Alexis Boersma, Chelsea Capps, Michelle Cha and Brittany Hamby.
   The team is coached by Amber Grace.
