'Our Only May Amelia' at SCT

Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) will open its 2002-2003 season with the world-premiere production of "Our Only May Amelia," based on the 2000 Newberry Honor Book by Jennifer L. Holm and adapted by John Olive.
   "Our Only May Amelia" is a tale aobut a young Finnish-American girl whose spirit captures the courage, humor and depth of the Pacific Northwest pioneer experience.
   The production, recommended for ages eight and older, opens Sept. 20 and runs through Oct. 26 in the Charlotte Martin Theatre at Seattle Center.
   Tickets range in price from $12 to $26 and may be purchased by calling SCT's ticket office at (206) 441-3322 or by visiting www.sct.org. Performances run Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 and 5:30 p.m.
   A limited number of $10 rush tickets will be available Friday nights at the ticket office. There will be an American Sign Language interpreted performance of "Our Only May Amelia" for deaf and hard of hearing patrons on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m.
