Duvall dentist celebrates fifth year of practice

Patients and friends dropped by Dr. Caron Nelson's offices on July 31 to help her celebrate the fifth anniversary of her practice.
"We wanted to thank our patients and thank Duvall," said Nelson, "We feel like this is a real milestone. And we have some new staff members to introduce everyone to."
She was speaking of course of Dr. Coehlo Weber, who is a new associate and will be working primarily with children. Barbara Tritz is also returning to the practice after a three year absence to run the non-surgical microscope modulated periodontal therapy program along with Linda Hagedorn.
Dr. Nelson has also added a new dental assistant, Keri Welcome, freeing up longtime employee Beckie Ish to concentrate on patient care and office management.
"In the last five years, (since the practice started), we have increased options for cosmetic dentistry, and added specialized staff to accommodate patient needs," said Nelson.
The commitment to patients is evident when you walk through the door. The offices are elegant, designed with colors that seem to promote comfort. Feeling more like the front offices of a spa, that atmosphere is intentional.
"We love to pamper our patients," says Nelson.
There are massage pads in the patient chairs that also offer heat. Patients can listen to their choice of music on headphones. There are videos to watch, movies and aromatherapy, making a normally dreaded visit to the dentist as pleasant as possible.
Nelson's office is also one of the very few practices with a phase contrast microscope which magnifies 1,000 times and allows the dental team to see oral bacteria that cause gum disease. The practice also carries an intra-oral video camera that allows patients and the doctor to get a closer look and spot plaque and tartar.
As an added bonus, Dr. Nelson offers before and after shots, which include a sitting fee and 8 X 10 photo done by a professional photographer.
"We are able to change the scope, alignment, and color to 'transform' a smile," says Nelson.
While the practice specializes in comprehensive, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry, new patients for general dentistry are welcome. Dr. Nelson and her staff can be reached at (425) 788-1551. The practice is located on Allen Street in Duvall. Office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is closed Monday. Other times are by special appointment only.
