Woodstack Car Show and Shine
DUVALL - The 10th annual Woodstack Auto Show and Shine & Country Junkin' Day will take place on Sept. 21. Owners of vintage, classic or custom cars, trucks or motorcycles are invited to cruise into downtown Duvall and show off their vehicle. There is a $10 registration fee per space. Show hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show is combined with Country Junkin' Day, with store specials and a city-wide garage sale. Residents are encouraged to have their own garage sales, since there will be many visitors in town. Call Joan Ramsey at (425) 788-2939 for more details.
During Woodstack, the fire department will be manning a booth adjacent to the car show. At the booth, firefighters will be selling bike helmets for toddlers and adults for $5, offer recruiting information and an equipment demonstration.
Also, Duvall resident Earl Anderson, who built the Proud Mary, a replica of a sternwheeler on display at McCoy's Mercantile, is planning to have the boat outside to demonstrate how everything on the model operates, including the lights, paddlewheel and calliope. The model, which took a year to build, earned a blue ribbon and Outstanding Exhibitor honor at the Evergreen State Fair. The model will be on display until mid-October.
