Fall City teen dies in accident on I-90
Erica Cain, 15, of Fall City, was killed instantly the afternoon of Sept. 8 when the car she was driving rolled over on I-90 about 10 miles east of Ellensburg.
The Mount Si High School sophomore, who had a learner's permit, was driving with her mother, who suffered minor injuries. The pair were driving home from a resort on the Columbia River.
According to the State Patrol, the teen was driving in the left lane when she veered off the road and overcorrected, causing the car to go broadside and roll. Both were wearing seatbelts.
Driver seriously injured in accident on SR-203
Patty Walsh, 41, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after suffering serious head injuries last Tuesday in an accident on SR-203 and NE 124th St. Walsh was thrown from the pickup she was driving when it rolled over. She was alone in the truck.
