Pioneer Day coming to Woodinville Community Center

Youth ages 7-12 are invited to take a glimpse back in time on Monday, Sept. 30, from 1-4 p.m.
The Woodinville Parks and Recreation Department along with the Woodinville Senior Program and members of the Woodinville Historical Society are working together to bring this annual program to the Community Center.
There will be an old settler's camp where participants can enjoy eating stone soup and seeing historical artifacts come to life.
After a short history presentation, kids will have a chance to participate in pioneer activities such as making a tin punch lantern, fabric dyeing, spinning, pioneer games and more. The afternoon is sure to be fun and educational for all involved.
The cost is $13 for Woodinville residents and $15.21 for nonresidents; pre-registration is required. To pick up a registration form, please visit the Community Center at 17401 133rd Ave. NE or the Web site www.ci.woodinville.wa.us.
Call Woodinville Parks and Recreation at (425) 398-9327 for more information.
