Tolt Pipeline incident
BOTHELL - Crews from the City of Bothell Fire and E.M.S. and Woodinville Fire & Life Safety District, Northshore Fire Department and Kirkland Fire Department responded Sept. 18 to a large amount of water flowing from the Tolt Pipeline at 16307 104th Ave. NE.
Upon their arrival, crews found water cascading down the east side of Norway Hill. All residents were safely evacuated from the affected area.
According to a Seattle Utilities spokesperson, the accident occurred when a master meter broke as work crews started to open a new tap from the Tolt Pipeline to a water district main. No customers lost water service.
If citizens notice anything unusual with their water or sewer, they are asked to call 9-1-1 as soon as possible to assist in minimizing the potential damage and restoring service as quickly as possible.
