Obituary: Blair Jeffry Smith

Blair Smith, 38, after a courageous 10-year battle with lymphoma went home to be with his Lord on Sept. 26. Surrounded by many of his loved ones, Blair passed away at his Woodinville home.
   Blair, born May 19,1964, in Oceanside, Calif., was the son of Guanie Dale and Harriet Smith.
   He was raised in Spokane and graduated from Ferris High School in 1982. He married Lisa Pomeroy, a 1983 Lewis & Clark High School graduate, in 1985. Blair and Lisa have resided in Woodinville for the past 14 years where they currently own Country Squire Home Furnishings.
   Prior to opening their store, Blair's career was in Operations Management, eight years of which were spent at Microsoft.
   He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. Blair is survived by his wife Lisa and two sons, Tyler (9) and Alex (3); parents, Guanie Dale and Harriet Smith; mother and father-in-law, Sandi Pomeroy and Phil Pomeroy; brother, Guanie Mark Smith; sister, Caren McKenzie; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joanne Schultz; nephews, Michael McKenzie, Brenden and Matthew Smith, Kyle and Cameron Schultz; and many close friends.
   Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Smith Family Trust Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank Branch.
