Woodinville rallies to beat Ballard 21-17

A strong defense and a determined running game enabled Woodinville High School to overcome a 17-9 deficit last Friday at Memorial Stadium in Seattle to defeat Ballard High School, 21-17. The Falcons (3-0) remain unbeaten.
   Playing without starting quarterback Matt Tuiasosopo who was injured in the previous week's homecoming game against Juanita High School, backup Michael-Ryan Pattison scored the winning touchdown on a 1-yard plunge with 35 seconds left in the game.
   Austin Matsui gained 96 yards on 15 attempts and brought the Falcons within striking distance with a 7-yard touchdown run with under 6 minutes to play.
   Nick Acker led the Falcons with 130 yards on 19 carries.
  
   IHS 45 - JHS 7
   Inglemoor High School crushed the Juanita Rebels 45-7 in last Thursday night's game at Pop Keeney Stadium. Senior running back Blake Pritchett contributed 115 running yards and scored a touchdown.
   Also scoring for the Vikings were Brandon Turner (two touchdowns), Steve Anderson, Tom Guinan and Mike Sewell. Brennan Bjorkman hit a 28-yard field goal.
  
   Bothell 35 - Lake Washington 14
   The Bothell High School Cougars remain unbeaten following their 35-14 defeat of Lake Washington High School last Friday at Pop Keeney Stadium.
   Sean Gallacher returned a blocked field-goal attempt for a touchdown (80 yards) and scored on an 18-yard run. The winless Kangs were held to just 20 yards rushing and 123 yards in the air.
