'A Life of Leisure'

Local artist and teaching staff member at Bothell's Arts Umbrella, Gail Hornsby Thompson will have a new body of work on display at Kaewyn Gallery in Bothell beginning Oct. 18. The paintings in this exhibit depict women at leisure in a style reminiscent of Edward Hopper.
Acrylic paint on canvas or masonite has become Thompson's favorite medium. The subject matter of her works usually includes people in cafes and bar scenes, or a single figure viewed pensively alone.
The public is invited to meet the artist at an opening reception to be held Friday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Kaewyn Gallery (at Framewright Custom Picture Framing) is located at 18104 102nd Ave NE, just south of Main Street in downtown Bothell.
