Drums and Fire of Japan features ancient art of pottery firing
On Friday Oct. 25, community members are invited to observe an all day demonstration by Seattle Pottery on the ancient tradition of Japanese Raku pottery firing at Fall City Elementary School.
Three kilns will be set up outside to fire pottery that has been built by the Fall City Elementary school 4th grade classes and Chief Kanim Middle School's 7th grade art students.
Visitors are asked to check in at the main office for a visitor's badge
Come back at 7:30 p.m. to the Fall City Elementary gym to enjoy the evening's performance will be Seattle Kokon Taiko Drummers and Elizabeth Falconer, a master koto (floor harp) player and storyteller.
