Firefighter's killer sentenced

Tony Cullum, found guilty of first-degree manslaughter for a fight outside a Snohomish bar last Feb.26, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Cullum, 29, a commercial fisherman from Lake Stevens, fought with off-duty firefighter Lt. Gary McAdam, 40, husband and father of three and 15-year veteran of City of Bothell Fire and EMS.
The attack left McAdam lying in the roadway unconscious, where he lay until police arrived.
He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died the next day, never having regained consciousness.
The fight, Cullum said, was to protect the honor of his fiancˇe, Ali Love. Love, an employee of the U&I Tavern where the incident occurred, refused to help McAdam who was having trouble with a pool table.
Love told McAdam she was off duty. Apparently McAdam insulted her. A fight ensued.
