#1 Bothell blanks Franklin 56-0

SEATTLE - The Bothell Cougars (8-0, 9-0) finished a perfect season against Franklin High School last Thursday as they dominated the Quakers 56-0 in 4A Kingco play.
   The Cougars appeared to score at will during the first two quarters, building up a 21-0 lead by halftime.
   Scoring for Bothell was Glente Cummings on runs of 2, 16 and 52 yards. Sean Gallacher scored on runs of 38 and 42 yards.
   Mac Laush returned the ball 30 yards following an interception, and Stefan Clark chalked up a 55-yard punt return. Also scoring for Bothell was Jesse Disch with a 1-yard run to end the scoring for the night.
   Individual stats:
   Cummings rushed 127 yards on 10 carries; Gallacher gained 80 yards on three carries and Bart Ward totaled 67 yards on seven carries.
   The Cougars accounted for 443 yards (374 rushing yards) while the Bothell defense held Franklin (2-5, 2-6) to a scant 128 yards.
   Bothell finished the season as 4A Kingco conference champs.
   The Cougars will play Federal Way, who won the South Puget Sound League (SPSL) South conference Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Pop Keeney Field in Bothell.
