Career fair on Nov. 19

Cedarcrest High School will hold an all-school career fair on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Debbie Gilmore, career specialist, along with community members of Cedarcrest's School to Work Committee, have developed an exciting lineup of speakers for this semi-annual event. Students will choose three speakers, and then go to three 40-minute sessions on that morning.
Joel Calvert, manager of the Duvall Safeway, and Kari Douglas, owner of Duvall Family Drugs, are two of the committee members from the Duvall area who planned this event to include a "career ladder" approach to the presenta- tions. Students will hear over 70 representatives from many occupational areas and learn about a wide spectrum of occupations and the educational paths that lead to them.
James Simpkins, managing director of the Willows Lodge, Duvall dentist Caron Nelson, Kurt Beardslee of Washington Trout and Dale Foote of the Duvall Church are some of the people who will make presentations to Cedarcrest students on Career Day.
