Parks Commissioners, Public Art Advisory Committee members wanted

The Woodinville City Council is seeking volunteers to appoint to the Woodinville Parks and Recreation Commission to fill vacancies. The seven-member board is responsible for providing recommendations to the City Council regarding the acquisition, improvement and best use of open space, city parks, playgrounds, recreation programs and facilities. Regular meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 7-9:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
   The Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking volunteers for the newly formed Public Art Advisory Committee. Openings are for a five-member committee that will consist of two Commissioners, two adult citizens, and one teen citizen. Meeting days and times have not been set at this time.
   Applications are due by Dec.4. Residents can pick up and application at Woodinville City Hall or call (425) 489-2700 for details.
