Duvall holiday tree lighting this Friday
Santa Claus loves Duvall. He loves it so much, he can't wait until December. Residents can see Santa at Duvall's free annual holiday tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m., outside of City Hall, located at 15535 Main Street. The theme this year is "Heart and Soul."
The west side of Stella (between City Hall and Gardens & SunSpaces) will be closed for the event, which will include refreshments and music by Cedarcrest High School's jazz band and choir, as well as caroling led by the Duvall Methodist Church.
Several of Duvall's eateries are offering tree lighting dinner specials that evening. Many merchants will also have small "giving trees" in their stores this season for customers who wish to leave gifts for needy children.
The Chamber of Commerce is encouraging Duvall residents to shop in their home town, noting that Duvall is offering plenty of shopping, all the holiday charm and none of the crowds.
