Silhouettes and Santa on the way

On Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Woodinville artist Beverly Fotheringham will be carrying on a holiday tradition by creating hand-cut silhouette portraits at Framewright Custom Picture Framing in Bothell. Fotheringham, who is known in the region for her award-winning paintings in watercolor, also is a master at paper cutting. She creates silhouettes during a five-minute sitting and makes one-of-a-kind gifts for parents and grandparents. Silhouettes are $15 per person and each cutting yields a pair of images. This is a one-day event and no appointments are necessary.
Santa Claus again will visit with kids of all ages in the window of Framewright beginning Dec. 7. Sponsored by the Greater Bothell Association, Santa will be available on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Dec. 21. Personal cameras and camcorders are welcome.
Framewright is located in downtown Bothell just south of Main Street at 18104 102nd Ave NE. For further information, call (425) 483-7385 during business hours Tuesday through Saturday.
