Woodinville Light Festival-A community tradition begins Dec. 6

WOODINVILLE - On Dec. 6 the Elf Express lighted train departs the Snowflake depot at the Woodinville Community Center (W.C.C.) at 6 p.m. to take you to Brittany Park Retirement Community Center in time for Santa's arrival at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the 9th annual Woodinville Light Festival.
   Capture a holiday memory with a photo with Santa, make a special craft and be entertained at Brittany Park.
   The W.C.C. offers additional holiday activities, including entertainment, holiday shopping, Santa's Workshop and the Woodinville Teen Art Show. Activities and entertainment will delight you from 6 to 9 p.m. at both event locations.
   The festival continues with Holiday Kidzone, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at W.C.C. and the Santa Skate, Dec. 8. noon to 2 p.m., Kingsgate Ice Arena.
   Activities at Brittany Park Retirement Community, 17143 - 133rd Avenue NE include:
   Santa Photos (Free)
   Brittany Park Bistro
   Dickens Carolers, 6 - 7 p.m.; Bear Creek Elementary School Choir, 7:15 - 7:45 p.m., and Bells of the Sound, 8 - 9 p.m. (Free)
   Kids Holiday Crafts (Free)
   Activities at Woodinville Community Center - 17401 133rd Avenue NE include:
   Teen Art Show including William Wilde Zeitler performing with a glass armonica (Free)
   Santa's Workshop (Free)
   Candy Cane Stage performances include Woodinville High School Jazz Band, Dickens Carolers and 2Plus6 Wilson Family Band (Free)
   Holiday craft vendors
   Crystal Caf
   Holiday light displays illuminated Dec. 6 through 24, 6 to 9 p.m.
   Holiday Kidzone, Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., W.C.C.
   Need a parents' day out for holiday shopping? Kidzone offers activities for children ages 5 to 12. Cost $20/per child. Pre-registration required by contacting W.C.C. at (425) 398-9327, ext. 2236.
   Santa Skate, Sunday, Dec. 8, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Kingsgate Ice Arena, 14326 - 124th Ave NE, Kirkland
   Skate with Santa and enjoy holiday music from Project LA! Free skate rental is available on a first come, first serve basis. Your admission is free. Donations of two canned food items to support Hopelink will be accepted.
   Hopelink is a non-profit agency that serves homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities.
