"Christmas in the NW" benefits Children's

The 2002 "Christmas in the Northwest" CD featuring local artists is now available. Sales directly benefit Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. The project was conceived by Steve Lawson after his two-year-old daughter Alex was admitted to Children's for treatment of an E.coli infection.
"Children's Hospital not only took care of my daughter's disease, they took care of all of us, "said Lawson. "My wife and I decided to use the resources of our time and effort to help repay the hospital for their kindness. At the time of the first CD we owned a recording studio and found the sponsors and produced the whole CD. Since that time we did three others before the new Volume 5."
"Christmas in the Northwest has been a great project for Children's Hospital and the Northwest community," said Debbie Campbell, Trustee, Children's Hospital. "This is the fifth year we have produced a Christmas CD. The previous four have raised over $500,000 for our patients here at Children's, and we really appreciate the talent and efforts (of) the musicians."
Christina Shehi of Woodin-ville and Steven Ray Allen of Fall City join other artists.
The CD is available at Pacific Northwest Bank, Bartells, Silver Platters, Wal-Mart or www.christmasinthe
