Dr. John Orville Stoutenburg
Dr. John Stoutenburg, a past president and long-time member of Northshore Rotary Club died Saturday, Dec. 7, at age 78 following a long battle with cancer.
 Dr. Stoutenburg was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Flint, Michigan.
He was a Navy veteran in World War II and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1951. He practiced in Michigan, Arizona and Woodinville.
A resident of Bothell, Dr. Stoutenburg was a strong supporter of community and business organizations.
As a Rotarian he was instrumental in the formation of the Woodinville Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Norma, eight children, 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren living in Arizona.
A memorial service was held Dec. 12 at Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore with the Rev. John Bangs of Duvall officiating.
The service was followed by a celebration of John’s life at dinner at Inglewood with the Northshore Rotary Club.  In past years the Stoutenburgs have hosted the annual Christmas gathering of the Northshore Rotarians.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that remembrances may be made to the Northshore Scholarship Foundation, P O. Box 173, Bothell Wash 98041, (attention Stoutenburg Memorial); or to the Northshore Senior Center in Bothell.
